Yesterday yet another young asylum seeker attempted suicide at Darwin Airport Lodge, as did a child, two weeks ago. Suicide attempts and self-harm are rife in Australia’s detention facilities as people grow anxious about being sent to Nauru and Manus Island.

Around a hundred refugee rights supporters rallied in the streets of Perth against the Governments introduction of offshore processing which will involve the dumping of thousands of asylum seeker men, women and children at incomplete detention centres on the remote islands of Nauru and Manus.
