The government puts refugees in the desert so that they are out of sight, out of mind. We won’t let them. We will travel to and we want you to join us. The more people we have, the stronger our message will be.

The government says that kids have been taken out of detention. And yet there are currently 882 children in immigration detention, including at Leonora in the Goldfields, which is currently for under 18′s only.

This is the third Refugee Rights Action Network (RRAN) to Leonora. We want to make it the best. The last trips played an important role in exposing the squalid conditions and challenging the lies coming from DIAC and Serco.

So show your solidarity with refugees next Australia Day and come to Leonora.
